Jim Hanes is a fine arts painter working with a variety of
mixed media including printmaking, airbrush, line work, pencil, graphics, watercolor, acrylics, and oil glazing.

Jim Hanes has assisted famed artist, Christo, in all stages of completion on Christo's Surrounded Island Project, Miami, FL. And he was the Color Mixing Assistant to artist, Ben Long, for original fresco for St. Paul's Church, North Wilkesboro, NC. and Color Mixing Assistant to artist, Roger Nelson, for mural at
St. Paul's Church, Winston-Salem, NC.

In 2010 Jim Hanes was chosen as illustrator for Ty's Special Project - Extreme Makeover.
